Não podes hoje ostentar a auréola da santidade, mas conseguirás estender, sem entraves, em teu benefício, os recursos da gentileza.
Não podes, sem dúvida, revelar de improviso, a resistência do mártir, ante os sofrimentos que te assaltam a vida, no entanto, é justo te consagres, em favor de ti mesmo, ao culto da disciplina.
Não sustentarás, de inopino, a atitude superior e espontânea da beneficência simples e pura diante daquele que te apunhala com a lâmina invisível da ofensa, mas podes sorrir, contendo os instintos de reação ao preço do esforço supremo de quem sabe que nada existe oculto para a verdadeira justiça.
Realmente, não te será possível a ascensão imediata ao Reino da Luz Eterna, onde a nossa presença decerto nublaria o semblante dos anjos, no entanto, podes ser o apoio firme do lar em que Deus te situa, exercendo aí a bondade e a renúncia, o carinho e o desvelo, o consolo e a paciência incessantes.
Não te creias capaz de trair o espírito de sequência que rege todas as forças e todas as tarefas da natureza.
A semente de agora será flor no porvir e a flor de hoje será o fruto amanhã.
