Concentram-se mentalmente e aguardam, imóveis, nulificados, a manifestação dos Espíritos Superiores, esquecendo-se de que o verdadeiro servidor assume sempre a iniciativa da gentileza, na mais comezinha atividade doméstica.
Vejamos a lógica do cotidiano.
Um diretor de escritório não exigirá que o auxiliar se faça enciclopédia humana, a fim de receber-lhe a cooperação; mas solicita seja ele uma criatura ordeira e laboriosa, com a necessária experiência em assuntos de escrita.
Um médico não reclamará do enfermeiro uma certidão de grandeza moral para aceitar-lhe o concurso; no entanto, contará seja ele pessoa operosa e sensata, com a precisa dedicação aos doentes.
O proprietário de um ônibus não se servirá da atenção do farmacêutico, em sua oficina; mas procurará um motorista, que não apenas saiba manobrar o volante, mas que o ajude também a conservar o carro.
O farmacêutico, a seu turno, não se utilizará da atenção de um motorista, em sua casa, mas procurará um colaborador que não apenas saiba vender remédios, mas que o ajude também a aviar as receitas.
Cada trabalhador permanece em sua própria tarefa, embora a interdependência seja o regime da vida apontado a todos.
Ser médium é ser ajudante do Mundo Espiritual. E ser ajudante em determinado trabalho é ser alguém que auxilia espontaneamente, descansando a cabeça dos responsáveis.
Se não podes compreender isso, observa o avião, por mais simples seja ele. Tudo é amparo inteligente e ação maquinal no comboio aéreo. Torres de observação esclarecem-lhe a rota e vigorosos motores garantem-lhe a marcha.
Mas tudo pode falhar, se falharem o entendimento e a disciplina no aviador que está dentro dele.

Let’s look at the logic of everyday life.
An office director will not require the assistant to make himself a human encyclopedia in order to receive his cooperation; but requests that he be an orderly and industrious creature, with the necessary experience in matters of writing.
A doctor will not demand from the nurse a certificate of moral greatness in order to accept the contest; however, it will count whether he is an industrious and sensible person, with the precise dedication to the sick.
The owner of a bus will not use the pharmacist’s attention in his workshop; but he will look for a driver who not only knows how to handle the steering wheel, but who will also help him to maintain the car.
The pharmacist, in turn, will not use the attention of a driver at home, but will look for a collaborator who not only knows how to sell medicines, but also helps him to fill prescriptions.
Each worker remains in his own task, although interdependence is the regime of life aimed at all.
To be a medium is to be a helper of the Spiritual World. And being a helper in a given job is to be someone who helps spontaneously, putting the heads of those responsible at ease.
If you cannot understand that, look at the plane, however simple it may be. Everything is intelligent support and mechanical action on the air convoy. Observation towers clarify your route and powerful engines ensure you are on your way.
But everything can fail, if understanding and discipline fail in the aviator inside him.
