Antecedendo as tarefas da nossa reunião pública, formávamos diversos grupos em conversação sobre a necessidade de enfrentar as lutas da atualidade. Falávamos de problemas e conflitos, dificuldades de ajustamento espiritual e acontecimentos desastrosos; quantas desencarnações coletivas verificadas quase em todas as partes do mundo, neste ano 1974 a findar.
Quando fomos chamados aos estudos, O Livro dos Espíritos nos deu a exame a questão 740.
Após a leitura e os comentários, o nosso Emmanuel nos trouxe a mensagem “Seguirás Construindo”, certamente em resposta aos nossos diálogos.

Nas horas de crise renovadora, vozes inúmeras convidar-te-ão, talvez, a temor e desequilíbrio.
Falar-te-ão de distúrbios e calamidades pendentes.
E dedos crispados te apontarão os quadros da delinquência, tanto quanto as nuvens que se agigantam sobre grande parte das coletividades humanas.
Entretanto, aprenderás a discernir a luz da treva e observarás que a treva deixa de existir onde a luz apareça.
Não há céu lavado sem vento e chuva.
Nem há solo adequado à grande produção sem arado ou trator.
Seguirás adiante, através dos obstáculos do caminho e das convulsões do tempo, preservando a própria serenidade por saber que os alicerces da paz e a edificação da felicidade estão em ti mesmo.
Avançarás, muitas vezes, palmo a palmo, e, em algumas ocasiões, de centímetro a centímetro, mas colocarás acima de todos os entraves o teu privilégio de compreender e de servir.
Muitos companheiros, na infância espiritual em que estagiam, desarvorados ante as provas necessárias, te induzirão à fuga ou dir-te-ão que o sacrifício é próprio dos loucos, acenando-te com o desânimo claramente mascarado de repouso.
Ouvirás, porém, a Lei do Amor no chamamento à obra do auxílio.
Compadecer-te-ás de quantos te partilham as experiências, necessitados de apoio, ainda mesmo quando não saibam disso.
Serás, por isto mesmo, a coragem aos que fraquejam; a fonte de simpatia aos que tombaram em aflitivos enganos; a mensagem de esperança aos que titubeiam na fé e o braço irmão que estende socorro a todos aqueles que se revelem na dor da necessidade.
Perceberás que podes ser, no próprio coração, um mundo de amor dentro do mundo em transição. E por isso, seguirás construindo e amparando, em louvor do bem e fiel à própria alma, reconhecendo que todos somos partes originais da vida, em burilamento e sublimação nas oficinas do tempo, até que o amor nos transforme, a cada um, em peça de luz viva e consciente para integrar a divina sustentação do Amor Universal.

Before the tasks of our public meeting, we formed several groups in conversation about the need to face the struggles of today. We talked about problems and conflicts, difficulties in spiritual adjustment and disastrous events; how many collective disincarnations have been verified almost in all parts of the world, in this year 1974 to end.
When we were called to study, The Spirits’ Book gave us question 740.
After reading and commenting, our Emmanuel brought us the message “You will continue to build”, certainly in response to our dialogues.

In times of renewing crisis, countless voices will perhaps invite you to fear and imbalance.
They will tell you of pending troubles and calamities.
And clenched fingers will point out to you the pictures of delinquency, as much as the clouds that loom over a large part of human collectivities.
However, you will learn to discern light from darkness and you will observe that darkness ceases to exist where light appears.
There is no washed sky without wind and rain.
Nor is there soil suitable for large production without a plow or a tractor.
You will move forward, through the obstacles of the way and the convulsions of time, preserving your own serenity for knowing that the foundations of peace and the building of happiness are in yourself.
You will often advance, inch by inch, and sometimes inch by inch, but you will put your privilege of understanding and serving above all obstacles.
Many companions, in the spiritual childhood in which they are intern, dismayed by the necessary tests, will induce you to flee or will tell you that sacrifice is typical of madmen, beckoning you with discouragement clearly masked as rest.
But you will hear the Law of Love in the call to the work of help.
You will sympathize with those who share their experiences, who need support, even when they do not know it.
You will be, for this very reason, the courage to those who weaken; the source of sympathy to those who have fallen into distressing delusions; the message of hope to those who hesitate in faith and the brotherly arm that extends help to all those who are in the pain of need.
You will realize that you can be, in your own heart, a world of love within a world in transition. And for this reason, you will continue to build and support, in praise of the good and faithful to your own soul, recognizing that we are all original parts of life, in refinement and sublimation in the workshops of time, until love transforms us, each one, into a piece. of living and conscious light to integrate the divine support of Universal Love.
