“Ninguém despreze a tua mocidade; mas sê o exemplo dos fiéis na palavra, no trato, na caridade, no espírito, na fé e na pureza”. Paulo (I Timóteo, 4:12)

Meu amigo da cristandade juvenil, que ninguém te despreze a mocidade.
Este conselho não é nosso. Foi lançado por Paulo de Tarso, o grande convertido, há dezenove séculos.
O apóstolo da gentilidade conhecia o teu soberano potencial de grandeza. A sua última carta, escrita com as lágrimas quentes do coração angustiado, foi também endereçada a Timóteo, o jovem discípulo que permaneceria no círculo dos testemunhos de sacrifício pessoal por herdeiro de seus padecimentos e renunciações.
Paulo sabia que o moço é o depositário e realizador do futuro.
Em razão disso confiava ao aprendiz a coroa da luta edificante.
Que ninguém, portanto, te menoscabe a juventude, mas não te esqueças de que o direito, sem o dever, é vocábulo vazio.
Ninguém exija sem dar ajudando e sem ensinar aprendendo sempre.
Sê, pois, em tua escalada do porvir, o exemplo dos mais jovens e dos mais velhos que procuram no Cristo o alvo de suas aspirações, ideais e sofrimentos.
Consagra-te à palavra elevada e consoladora.
Guarda a bondade e a compreensão no trato com todos os companheiros e situações que te cercam.
Atende à caridade que te pede estímulo e paz, harmonia e auxílio para todos.
Sublima o teu espírito na glória de servir.
Santifica a fé viva, confiando no Senhor e em ti mesmo, na lavoura do bem, que deve ser cultivada todos os dias.
Conserva a pureza dos teus sentimentos a fim de que o teu amor seja invariavelmente puro, na verdadeira comunhão com a Humanidade.
Abre as portas de tua alma a tudo o que seja útil, nobre, belo e santificante e, de braços devotados ao serviço da Boa-Nova, pela Terra regenerada e feliz, sigamos com a vanguarda dos nossos benfeitores ao encontro do Divino Amanhã.

“No one despises your youth; but be an example to the faithful in word, in conversation, in charity, in spirit, in faith and in purity”. Paul (I Timothy, 4:12)

My friend of youthful Christendom, may no one despise your youth.
This advice is not ours. It was launched by Paul of Tarsus, the great convert, nineteen centuries ago.
The apostle of gentleness knew your sovereign potential for greatness. His last letter, written with the hot tears of an anguished heart, was also addressed to Timothy, the young disciple who would remain in the circle of testimonies of personal sacrifice as the heir of his sufferings and renunciations.
Paulo knew that the young man is the trustee and director of the future.
For this reason, he entrusted the apprentice with the crown of uplifting struggle.
Let no one, therefore, belittle your youth, but do not forget that right, without duty, is an empty word.
No one demands without helping and without teaching, always learning.
Be, therefore, in your climb to the future, the example of the youngest and the oldest who seek in Christ the target of their aspirations, ideals and sufferings.
Consecrate yourself to the high and consoling word.
Guard kindness and understanding in dealing with all companions and situations that surround you.
Attend to the charity that asks you for encouragement and peace, harmony and help for all.
Sublimate your spirit in the glory of serving.
Sanctify living faith, trusting in the Lord and in yourself, in the field of good, which must be cultivated every day.
Preserve the purity of your feelings so that your love is invariably pure, in true communion with Humanity.
Open the doors of your soul to everything that is useful, noble, beautiful and sanctifying and, with arms devoted to the service of the Good News, for a regenerated and happy Earth, let us follow with the vanguard of our benefactors to meet the Divine Tomorrow.
