A mulher é delineada mais finamente que o homem, o que indica, naturalmente, uma alma mais delicada. É assim que nos meios semelhantes, em todos os mundos, a mãe será mais bela que o pai, por ser a que a criança vê primeiro. É para a figura Angélica de uma senhora moça que a criança volta incessantemente o olhar; é pela mãe que a criança enxuga as lágrimas e fixa o olhar fraco e incerto. A criança tem, assim, uma intuição natural do belo.
A mulher sabe principalmente fazer-se notada pela delicadeza de seus pensamentos, pela graça de seus gestos, pela pureza de suas palavras. Tudo que dela vem deve harmonizar-se com sua pessoa, que Deus fez bela.
Seus longos cabelos, ondulantes sobre o pescoço, são a imagem da doçura e da facilidade com que sua cabeça se dobra sem se partir sob as provas. Refletem a luz dos sóis, como a alma da mulher deve refletir a luz mais pura de Deus. Jovens, deixai vossos cabelos flutuantes: para isso Deus os criou. Parecereis, ao mesmo tempo, mais naturais e mais enfeitadas.
A mulher deve ser simples no vestir. Ela saiu muito bela das mãos do Criador para ter necessidade de atavios. Que o branco e o azul se unam sobre vossas espáduas. Deixai, também, que flutuem os vossos vestidos; que se vejam as vossas roupagens estender-se atrás de vós numa longa esteira de gaze, como leves nuvens, indicando imediatamente a vossa presença.
Mas o que representam os enfeites, o vestido, a beleza, os cabelos ondulados ou flutuantes, enrolados ou presos, se o sorriso tão doce das mães e das amantes não brilharem nos vossos lábios? Se os vossos olhos não semearem a bondade, a caridade e a esperança nas lágrimas de alegria que eles deixam correr, nos relâmpagos que se abrem desse braseiro de amor desconhecido?
Mulheres! Não temais deslumbrar os homens pela vossa beleza, por vossas graças, por vossa superioridade. Saibam, porém, os homens que, para se tornarem dignos de vós, devem ser tão grandes quanto sois belas, tão sábios quanto sois boas, tão instruídos quanto sois originais e simples. É necessário que saibam que vos devem merecer, que sois o prêmio da virtude e da honra não dessa honra que se cobre com um capacete e com um escudo e que brilha nas justas e nos torneios, com o pé sobre a fronte de um inimigo derrubado. Não, da honra segundo Deus.
Homens! Sede úteis; e quando os pobres abençoarem o vosso nome, as mulheres vos serão iguais. Então, formareis um todo; sereis a cabeça e elas o coração; sereis o pensamento benfeitor e elas as mãos liberais. Uni-vos, pois, não só para o amor, mas para o bem que podeis fazer a dois. Que os bons pensamentos e as boas ações realizadas por dois corações amantes sejam os elos dessa cadeia de ouro e diamantes chamada matrimônio. Então, quando os elos forem numerosos, Deus vos chamará para junto Dele e vós continuareis a ajuntar novos elos. Na Terra estes eram de metal pesado e frio; no céu serão de fogo e de luz.

The woman is more finely delineated than the man, which naturally indicates a more delicate soul. This is how, in similar environments, in all worlds, the mother will be more beautiful than the father, because she is the one the child sees first. It is to the angelic figure of a young lady that the child incessantly turns his gaze; it is for the mother that the child wipes the tears and fixes the weak and uncertain gaze. The child thus has a natural intuition of beauty.
A woman mainly knows how to make herself noticed by the delicacy of her thoughts, the grace of her gestures, the purity of her words. Everything that comes from her must harmonize with her person, whom God made beautiful.
Her long hair, undulating over her neck, is the picture of the sweetness and ease with which her head bends without breaking under the test. They reflect the light of the suns, as a woman’s soul must reflect the purest light of God. Young people, let your hair flow: for this God created you. You will look more natural and more decorated at the same time.
A woman should be simple in dress. She left the Creator’s hands too beautiful to need adornments. May white and blue unite on your shoulders. Also let your garments float; let your garments be seen to spread behind you in a long gauze mat, like light clouds, immediately indicating your presence.
But what do the ornaments, the dress, the beauty, the wavy or floating, curled or tied hair represent, if the sweet smile of mothers and lovers does not shine on your lips? If your eyes don’t sow goodness, charity and hope in the tears of joy they shed, in the lightning that opens from that brazier of unknown love?
Women! Do not be afraid to dazzle men with your beauty, your graces, your superiority. Let men know, however, that to become worthy of you, they must be as great as you are beautiful, as wise as you are good, as educated as you are original and simple. They need to know that they deserve you, that you are the reward of virtue and honor, not that honor that is covered with a helmet and a shield and that shines in jousts and tournaments, with your foot on the forehead of a fallen enemy. No, from honor according to God.
Men! Be useful; and when the poor bless your name, women will be your equal. Then you will form a whole; you will be the head and she the heart; you will be the beneficent thought and she the liberal hands. Unite, therefore, not only for love, but for the good that you can do together. May the good thoughts and good deeds carried out by two loving hearts be the links in this chain of gold and diamonds called matrimony. Then, when the links are numerous, God will call you to Him and you will continue to gather new links. On Earth these were cold, heavy metal; in heaven will be fire and light.
