– “Brilhe a vossa luz diante dos homens!”
Conhecimento evangélico é sol na alma.
Compreendendo a responsabilidade de que somos investidos, esposando a Boa Nova por ninho de nossos sentimentos e pensamentos, busquemos exteriorizar a flama renovadora que nos clareia por dentro, a fim de que a fé não seja uma palavra inoperante em nossas manifestações.
Onde repontem espinheiros da incompreensão, sê a bênção do entendimento fraterno.
Onde esbraveje a ofensa, sê o perdão que asserena e edifica.
Onde a revolta incendeie corações, sê a humildade que restaura a serenidade e a alegria.
Onde a discórdia ensombre o caminho, sê a paz que se revela no auxílio eficiente e oportuno.
Não olvidemos que a luz brilha dentro de nós.
Não lhe ocultemos os raios vivificantes sob o espesso velador do comodismo, nas teias do interesse pessoal.
Entretanto, não nos esqueçamos igualmente de que o sol alimenta e equilibra o mundo inteiro sem ruído, amparando o verme e a flor, o delinquente e o santo, o idiota e o sábio em sublime silêncio.
Não suponhas que a lâmpada do Evangelho possa fulgurar através de acusações ou amarguras.
Enquanto a ventania compele o homem a ocultar-se, a claridade matinal, tépida e muda, o encoraja ao trabalho renovador.
Inflamando o coração no luzeiro do Cristo, saibamos entender e servir com Ele, sem azedume e sem crítica, sem reprovação e sem queixa, na certeza de que o amor é a garantia invulnerável da vitória imperecível.

Light and silence
The Master, who recommended that we place the lamp on the candlestick, also exhorted us in an incisive way:
– “Shine your light before men!”
Evangelical knowledge is sunshine in the soul.
Understanding the responsibility that we are invested with, espousing the Good News as the nest of our feelings and thoughts, let us seek to externalize the renewing flame that enlightens us from within, so that faith is not an inoperative word in our manifestations.
Where thorns of incomprehension sprout, be the blessing of fraternal understanding.
Where the offense rages, be the forgiveness that reassures and edifies.
Where revolt ignites hearts, be the humility that restores serenity and joy.
Where discord shadows the way, be the peace that reveals itself in efficient and timely help.
Let us not forget that the light shines within us.
Let us not hide the life-giving rays from it under the thick veil of comfort, in the webs of personal interest.
However, let us not also forget that the sun nourishes and balances the whole world without noise, supporting the worm and the flower, the criminal and the saint, the idiot and the wise man in sublime silence.
Do not suppose that the lamp of the Gospel can shine through accusations or bitterness.
While the wind compels man to hide, the morning light, tepid and mute, encourages him to renew work.
By igniting the heart in the light of Christ, let us know how to understand and serve with Him, without bitterness and without criticism, without reproach and without complaint, in the certainty that love is the invulnerable guarantee of imperishable victory.
